COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE (CSA) PROGRAM UPDATE
During the COVID-19 pandemic, The Growing Experience's CSA Program and farm stand will be suspended until further notice to focus on providing fresh produce to those most in need within the Carmelitos public housing development community. We appreciate your understanding and continued support during this time.
If you are a Carmelitos resident, please reach us by calling (562) 984-2917, or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Well wishes to you and yours,
The Growing Experience Team
Our farm-fresh produce is grown using sustainable methods without the use of harmful chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. Our produce is grown seasonally, and over the course of the year, our farm produces over one-hundred different varieties of fruits, vegetables, and herbs.
There are two ways to purchase our farm-fresh produce:
The Growing Experience farm offers a weekly Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) veggie-box pick-up directly from the farm. Our CSA boxes contain a small quantity of 8 to 10 seasonal fruits, vegetables, and an herb.
Subscription to our CSA program is flexible. As a subscriber, you will receive an e-mail at the end of each month with the available CSA pick-up days for the following month. Simply reply to the monthly e-mail with your desired pick-up days and a box will be prepared for you that week. At this time, we only offer one size box, however, you are able to choose the frequency of how often you pick-up.
Subscribe in advance to pick up a box filled with the week’s harvest!
1 bunch of collard greens
1 bunch of kale
1 pound of limes
1 bag of spinach
4 thai guavas
1 bag of green beans
1 bunch of chives
1 bunch of mint

Proceeds from the CSA program directly support our work to deliver fresh produce to under-served members of the community through our various programs and projects.

Fridays from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
*Please note you must subscribe and pre-order your box prior to pick-up.
Visit our farm stand to pick and choose from a variety of freshly harvested produce items. In addition to the freshest produce around, shoppers have the opportunity to try healthy samples using the week's produce, and receive exciting new recipes provided by the Long Beach Health Department Healthy Active Long Beach Program during their bi-weekly pop-up at the farm stand.
Our farm stand is open to the public, you do not need to be a resident of Carmelitos to visit us!
